Thank you. It's been rough. The best thing I can do for myself is to reach out instead of ball up and withdraw. I learned a couple of years ago that people actually do care about me! How cool is that! Allowing them to do it is even cooler!

thank you for caring, everyone. Bad days

You and hubby are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you have good things coming your way, and lots of healing.

Love,
Rap

We went back to the doctor (at worker's comp clinic...worker's care). His family doctor was working there today! It was great. He's been his doctor for about 10 years now and just felt so bad for hubby. He knows about his bulging and herniated discs and how hard he works, etc. He also knows how hubby fights his pain and doesn't complain.

Anyhow, he went over the xrays himself and vertified that nothing is broken, but asked specific questions to make him believe that there's significant swelling inside. His priority was pain relief and recovery.

He instructed him to move around more. He said in order to do that, he needs continual pain relief. He put him on a 6 day steriod pack, celebrex and a low dose narcoctic (continual release). He just looked at me and said, "It's amazing!". He has so much more relief. He was suffering so much. He was worried it would make him fuzzy headed but hasn't at all! This is just great.

He'll continue to heal through the weekend and will go back to them on Monday...at which time he should be able to go back to work.

Have a great one everyone, and thanks so much for your concerns, thoughts and wishes!

KD

thank you (((((((((((((((((((silver)))))))))))))))))))

that first doctor didn't do much Bad days he gave him a low dose codiene pill and said to take half at bedtime. hubby's family dr was pretty ticked...lol. He suffered pretty bad for two days. Now, he's doing much better. Nothing's taking the pain away completely but hubby's getting much more relief. it will be even more once the steriod kicks in as well.

Thank you again!
