my own little corner

One day i am going to have my own little house and it's just going to be big enough for me and no one else. and no one will be allowed in if they are mean. and no one can come except if they are invited. and they wont bully me into inviting them either. one day.

Wanttoheal, hi, are you ok with heights? Could it be a tree house, like Swiss Family Robinson? With a huge shell for a sink and stuff? That's what I've always wanted. Up high and safe from everything I've always wanted to be safe from. For the time being, at least you can go there in your mind..... fate is a funny partner. It took me 53 years to manifest, but, I am in a cabin on the side of a steep hill that almost feels like being up a tree, and almost feels safe enough..... May your dream come true too.

Well, no other humans, but I have 9 bunnies sharing in and outdoor space. Ester, Queen of the House is my senior. She was found hopping a street in Gueneville CA 4 1/2 years ago.
She came to live with me 3 years ago when I moved here on the hill. She's wishing I would stop typing and pet her right now, as a matter of fact. Spoiled rotten and loving it. When I went to pick her up, she was in a cage (open door) dead center in the middle of an empty laundry room-- cement all around. A fake wooden carrot to keep her company.

My heart flew to her and I landed on my belly in front of the open door. She hopped out and we touched noses, then she hopped back in. I mentally told her, Honey, you outta here!!

When we got home, I just opened the carrier on the floor and let her be on her own time. WELL, my house is only 20x20 with a 6x8 kickout for the bathroom.... BUT I am a Gemini, ie: a collector so there's lotsa stuff.... Ester spent the next 8 hours exploring every nook and cranny she could get her nose into.
Free at last, free at last, she just soaked it up.

Finally, she hopped up the bunny steps to join me on my bed. She butted her head under the palm of my right hand, demanding to be petted, and pretty much passed out. She hasn't been in a cage since. She's the Queen.

hillbunnyb your house sounds very nice and i really did like your story about the bunny rabbit queen of the house. i bet she is very thankful to be in your house. we have a little baby dog but she is not mine. she is very nice thoughd and she thinks she is the most important thing here and that everybody wants to be her friend. thank you very much for telling me about your house. one day i want a house like that too.

For so long we have shared that dream. To live where it is just us and have peace. I so agree with the others to start in your mind. Then it goes where you are. Such as the dentist and all those places. Also could you have a part of where you live now become your private place? A room or a back porch maybe. We have a room that is ours and no family is allowed when door is shut. It helps a lot.

I will try to put one in my mind for now. there is no place right now and not possible to make a place because when you close off a space, that makes people mad and they bust things down. but i will find a place inside my mind for now. no one can get to me in there anyway. it's safe.

I too hope you will be able to get your own house someday where nobody can enter but those you want to come in. For now, like you say, it's safe in your mind anyway .

I am sorry there are those around you who do not understand the need for a quiet safe place for you all. It must be so hard when they will not allow it. one day you will have your own place. We dream of a little home by the river. Just peace and quiet and safety.

my tree house has an elevator in it and...the lower limbs i can raise so uninvited guest cannot climb up. Also my tree house is reinforced so it cannot be cut down and the roots are protected so the tree cannot be poisoned. There are play places, quiet places and creative work places in my tree house. Sometimes when not in a place to happily reside in the tree house, i write about it, draw pictures to hang there, change the color of my space in my tree house; these things help plus they are fun.
