Remember, even if a member does say something about their not believing another, that it might be part of that member's problem: not believing stuff, not wanting to believe a disorder dx, wanting to stir up trouble... things like that. It is their dx talking.

That's why it's important for everyone to remember the guidelines, and take posts "at face value"...

With regards to safety? Take a breath and step back away from the keyboard.. hehehe I have to from time to time too! See? IRL nothing that is said here with words can touch us! We are safe from harm from members here... IRL right? Plus it is OK to use "ignore" .. I do!

And with all the support others give to members here... there are plenty of us who care to overpower someone who might not use the right words To use a football or kick ball term we can "PILE ON" and win!

I don't know if it is safe or not but i am glad to see you here raven girl as well as lots of others. feeling unsafe is scary. I'm wanting to hide away all the time - not personal reaction to people here so much as my own stuff and not feeling safe generally. Feel out of touch with reality a lot of the time. NOt good.

I am so glad that there is so much support here. We're feeling better now and have taken the deep breathe and are trying to remember that the words on the screen can't hurt us and the supporting words can help us. Part of my scared and untrusting system learning to use some "self care". Boy is that new to us!!! Always caring for others and forgetting to use some of that on us. Always afraid of what others think or will think and blaming ourselves for whatever goes wrong. We need to learn so much in this area. This seems to be a very good place to begin.

I'm glad you're able to use distancing techniques and to not let online words affect you so much, after all ppl who make such comments don't actually know YOU and only you know you and so you're able to judge just WHO you are... I don't think that makes much sense lol... it doesn't to me know I've written it... ah well. It's so good you are working on feeling safe here anyway .

That's right ((silver)) only YOU know what is good for you or not, only YOU know what is true for you or isn't...

sometimes members can say something that is true... maybe only true for them, maybe true for many people, but that doesn't mean it is true for YOU! And that's ok! It's ok to have needs that are special and different than another. It doesn't make it wrong or right.

Staying safe, taking care of yourself is a big, good step! Not letting what someone else says (and not trying to figure out what they are thinking when they type it... is so very important .. here and IRL.

Always try and find something good, and ignore the other stuff written.

Don't take everything personally... because it might not be about you at all. Even when another member answers you, it still might be all about them. (Which means a part of them is really writing to themself and not to you!)
