OMG. My teen son asked "how come you say one thing then say another later? You are confusing me!"
Okay, he's smoking marijuana. Susie was all "be careful, don't get in trouble, I was a teenager once". Steve was like "you better not let me catch you. I'll ground you for life!" How do you explain being a multiple? It's so complex to explain, let alone halfway through it starts sounding ridiculous coming out of my mouth. To top that, they're laughing at you making a joke. Always, your concept of family is unique. Different states have different laws regarding marijuana. Tell your son the be careful.

Okay. we said lets talk, and I told him everything about my childhood life and who we all are today. Quite a few tears erupted of course, but I stayed honest, centered, and explained every nuance.
Hope at least he gets that I have a reason to be nutty me, with some form of understanding. Best I can do. |

I've tried to explain to my family about my Alters but they really didn't get it.
So I found some safe pages in my journal and just let them read it and wow they got it. My Alters are in teams, I know it's very strange and difficult. So me IB Lacy is boss and in charge of Baby Blue Nicole-Bradley Misty-Ugene Erin-Cody Katie-Casey Zachary-Kristy Crystal-Christian

I will NEVER talk about it with most of my family. Howeve, several years ago I decided to let my sister know i had DID. Her first reaction was , " I KNEW it!" Turns out she had always suspected because she had met and played with several of the children over the years. She even said " i have a picture of you as one of the kids." she told me when the picture was from, and yes, it was one of our inside kids who were at that event with her. She kept saying i knew it, i knew it.

Always, how'd he take it?
Was there any agreement on who your son should take top order from in your system? How does he know who has the final word (and what it is)? Does he understand? Good work!
