so i moved last year, and i've been putting off getting a driver's license for the state where i live now. now my license was expired. the bank i use said they have to have updated id to keep cashing my paychecks, so i just quit going there. i couldn't get my checks cashed anywhere else w/o proper id so i just quit doing anything with them and even though working have had no money as a result.
so having to a, deal with authority figures, b, be in an unfamiliar setting, c, having to prove my identity when i'm not even sure of it myself, and d, prove to the government where i live, has been filling me with so much fear and dread.
but today i got it done! i've got a new, proper drivers license and no longer have to go w/o money, or be terrified while driving that i'll get arrested and the car towed.
i feel embarrassed that this has been so hard for me. i know it's just a normal part of life for people. but it seemed like an impossible task. i've been so scared.
but i got it done! i guess i'm a little proud i did it, even though that's silly.

it's not minor at all. dealing with auth figures is hard for very hard reasons. my T celebrates with me (if only to say YAY!) when I get these things done, like answering the phone when the dentist calls. good on you! YAY!
Thanks for this!

Silly? NO..Accomplished? Aboslutely!!! Changing things is hard to do , especially when you have to move and there are so many different people that you have to contact when moving, not to mention just the stress of moving itself. I'm proud of you for doing what you had to do for yourself!!!

Thanks for this!

Yes, it's not minor at all and that you did it, will probably help you the next "impossible" task you come up against? Congratulations!
