I always hear Shadow's voice in my head but I'm not sure what he is. A form of DID maybe? I'm really confused about it.

Hey there Shadow313...often times there are what i like to call internal voices...they tend to argue in my head quite a lot as well...there is very rarely any type of total silence in my own head...just wanted to share to say that you are not alone in this...take care...and i hope that you have a good day!!!

having voices in your head could be normal or it could be any number of problems both mental or physical. your treatment providers (therapist, medical doctor, psychiatrist...) are the only ones that can tell you whether your voices are DID or not.

before my alters were integrated I head voices.. depending upon the situation, my health, and other symptoms my treatment providers called them symptoms from ...bipolar disorder, psychosis, dehydration, poor diet, and dissociative issues, along with hallucinations and in some situations perfectly normal.

to find out what these voices are in you, my suggestion is contact your treatment providers. they can help you figure it out and get you treated for them.

yea I hear voices in my head constantly. For the longest time I thought they were just normal , because they've always existed... then one day they got louder and started telling me to hurt myself, they diagnosed me as paranoid schizophrenic and then schizoaffective. Later we found out they were parts speaking. I only know this because when my system feels safe and calm, the voices are quiet. Medications change the voices very little. I don't think I remember or know what it's like without these voices constantly chitter chattering. I actually don't know how people survive in this world with the boredom of not having the voices with them. My system has been stable for the first time ever recently and the voices have been more quiet recently. I have experienced boredom for the first time I can ever remember.

we hear each other all the time!

we still get in debates with doctors on the definiton of hearing outsider or those within LOL!

this is a site that might help u feel better about it. For us it was the ability to short throught them and help each other heal from the pain within us.

we go there to read when we need to be reminded that there is more then one way to look at something.
