I am throwing my daughter a birthday/ graduation party today. I am so proud of her. I have been doing a lot of healing and some integration.....and it has been really neat getting to know my daughter.....before.....I didn't even know what she looked like....but after the Mother Part ( the part that is her mom) was integrated we had to get to know our own kid....but you know what? My kid had to get to know me too....I am so thankful to the T we have now and the dedication and hard work she has done with our System...we have a long way to go .....but now we are living life. My kid has only known us as disassociated she never knew who she was comming home to, and bless her heart she had to be the grown up...a lot.... Now I am being the mom!!!....PS my kid is expecting twins in Feb....guess multiples run in the family....LOL!

This party was the first party I ever had for my kid....so it was very special for her and my System.( like I said this year me and my child have met for the first time)I was pretty much a person walking around who only had a pulse before..... I was way over medicated and had T's and psdoc's that didn't know their butt from a hole in the ground when it came to treating d.i.d. and SRA survivors. I am finally waking up to.....life....it's great...funny I am 45 and am just now noticing the blue sky, white fluffy clouds, grass the feel and smell of dirt, flowers, trees, the sunshine on my face....I've seen my first rainbow.A lot of lets say.....singletons....people that don't have their lives run by a bunch of alters like me (us, my brilliant mind came up with a way for me to cope with a really crappy childhood....if it wasn't for my alters we would not be here now. And thanks to the dedicated T's and psydocs out there that are willing to learn from each and every multiple they treat....THANK YOU.....please teach as many other health care professionals as you can....so we don't have to become a"granny" before getting our life back. "Normal" people take life and living for granted, and one day I hope to start being okay with "F" words ( feelings) and feeling those emotions I had to learn to never show....just to survive....hello world! ( this heart is beating....just like we are starting to live life... And that's why I chose "such is life..."

Thanks Gr3tta! It was weird ...you know getting to know our own daughter I remember the day ( about 4 months ago) that I first "saw" her. She knew we had parts before we did. She didn't mind though because she had kid parts that would play with her , teen parts that would hang out with her and her friends....and all the other parts that did mom things. Any way I would like to apologize to every one about the second post it was written by a fierce protector Daniel....I don't know if I should add a thread and apologize for what he wrote or not....I come home some times and see that parts have posted. The first post was written by our kids mom part.

I think the post from Daniel is okay. It was just a different point of view.
I think it's great your daughter got to benefit from some of your alters who were able to relate to her at different ages.

So do you think I should apologize for Daniel ? He can be so stubborn and bull headed and opinionated! He is a protector and takes his job very seriously.

If you disagree with something Daniel says, you should say so! But I don't think you need to apologize. (just my opinion)
Thanks for this!

such is life..., I don't think you need to apologize for Daniel's post at all. He was not disrespectful to anyone that I can see. We all need to be heard and understood, whether we are multiple or singleton right? Personally, I'm glad that Daniel was able to express himself and I think he did a good job of it! I'll even bet that he has been a good protector over the years. I hope that someday he is able to learn that his job can change a bit as you are able to handle more of life's ups and downs on your own. I mean, during our lifetime's everyone's job changes from time to time.

Oh and, congrats on the twins and meeting your daughter for the first time! I'm so glad you are finding your awakening....what a blessing for you and your daughter and grandchildren to be!
Thanks for this!

I don't think you should apologize for things you didn't do yourself. I liked all the posts.
