Dissociation is numbing me completely today. I know my trigger but it doesn't seem to stop the body from dissociating. The trigger would stop most people from working but because I cannot feel, it's like get over it and move on. Thanks Dissociation for numbing me you make me feel emotionless. It seems like dissociation wants me to be labelled antisocial too...great !!!

That's one of my favorite aspects of dissociation. Although it's debilitating, sometimes it can have the opposite effect and allow me to keep going through immense pain and emotional difficulty. I guess that's why it's considered a defense mechanism that has just gone out of control. Sometimes it still does it's initial job though.

I, on the other hand would prefer that dissociation did not rule my world so much. I have been working on breaking the dissociation triggers for a year, but it seems to be just as strong as before. I hate coming across to others like I don't care...it horrible that my emotional responses are so numb to the point that I do come across like I "don't care" I don't care about death", or "abuse" or anything else. It's a horrible way to be towards others.
