Wow, Claritytoo, I so get what you are saying. To be able to trust in your system is the ultimate good thing when it comes to healing. They do hold the memories that you do not know about yet. They will only reveal them when they feel you are ready and when it is safe enough to do so. Yes, I totally get that.

Trusting your system also means that you don't question the memories they hold. I don't know if you have ever had this happen before but, have you ever denied a memory and found that there was a lot of upset within when you have done that? I think it's very important that no matter what you decide, whether you believe the memory or not, that you have to validate the part of you that holds that memory. Validating yourself and your parts is so very important.

I understand that when you get parts of a memory or even the whole memory, and you are feeling very small, it's difficult to use your adult thinking. It takes time and patience with yourself to apply the here and now and what you have learned as an adult to be able to help those small parts of you heal. It's very do-able though and the rewards you will receive will help keep your strength and resolve to healing.

I wish you all the best in your trek to better self awareness and healing. It sounds to me like you are making good strides in that direction!

I'm so glad that we've been able to post back and forth and that it has helped you.

I am also glad we have been able to write back and forth. I understand what you are saying about validating the memories and feelings of my alters. I sometimes forget to do that and I do understand the importance of that. As far as my memories go, there are times when I know it is a memory. I am able to connect it to a time, location or something else. When that happens the memory becomes whole. The thoughts I have been having are not connected to a time, place, person. They just seem to be thoughts. Without being connected to me other than thoughts in my head. So I write some of them down so I don't forget them. But until I can connect my thoughts to a time, place or person I will think of them as thoughts. I am not stuck there. Should more information be known to me I will include it with the thought. If I feel like it is whole than I will know it is a memory. Right now I only have sporadic thoughts. Thanks again for taking the time to talk.
