So my partner has brought up good thoughts about my diagnosis. She's wondering if I created my alters as due to something else since I'm as coconcious as I am. She thinks that its bipolar which I can see too. I don't have a therapist or pdoc to talk to and am in the market but its not going well. I don't really know how to go about this whole process. Last time I needed a therapist I was at school went to the one there then they connected me with my therapist on the outside. It doesn't help that I'm as anxious as what I have been, but I don't know what to do. I'm over all this. Grrrrrr... Is there an easier way to deal with this crap?

T's can change your whole life if you find a good one for yourself. even though we only see our t's a few times a month they really show compassion and insights into our hearts and minds that can almost explain our conditions with solutions.

Im assuming that something else you are referring to is traumatic events and DID. the answer is sure they can. there are many different types of alters (alters that fit the DID diagnostics, alters that dont fit the DID diagnostics, introjects, ego states, alter egos, pseudo alters, delusion created alters, hallucinatory created alters.....) and many reasons why a persons mind has created their alters (trauma, treatment provider induced, medication induced, mental disorder, attention, stress,.....) Did you create your alters due to something else? answer only you and your treatment providers can say what type of alter you have and why you created them. since you dont have a treatment provider my suggestion is that if you want to discover where your alters come from and why you created them to obtain a treatment provider. Treatment providers can be found through your phone book, school, your medical doctor and even this friend of yours can help you get another treatment provider. there is also some crisis numbers below at the bottom of the page in the gray box. by calling them they may be able to help you find a treatment provider in your location. is there an easier way to deal with all this crap.... Sure there is...people who have DID have alters that take over when ever the person with the disorder cant handle something. example using what you have posted... you are very anxious....with DID, if you cant handle being anxious / the situation that is causing you to be anxious, then an alter will take over when you are anxious and keep that situation and feeling away from you so that you no longer feel anxious. you dont have a mental health treatment provider... if you want one but dont know how and cant handle doing what it takes to get one with DID an alter would take over and do whats needed to get you a treatment provider. in other words if you have DID you can still go on with your life dissociating and the alters come out to take care of what ever you can not. or you can take the harder route of going back into treatment and learning how to stay present and deal with your problems so that your alters dont have to do that for you. only you can decide whether you are ready to deal with your problems or not with out the alters taking over and dealing with things you are not able to. other than that no there is no easier way to "deal with all this crap." |
