I am having a difficult time with having my friends look older. I don't understand why they look older. I don't see them much because they look older and I don't know why.

Are they older, or do you think you're younger than you are?

I don't understand how I can not look as old as them. I don't understand understand why they look different than I know them to look. I have parts that tell me we are older but what does that mean.

clarity...there are many reasons why someone doesnt look as old as another person...health issues, mental outlook, helpful tools like hair dyes, hair removal, hair bleaching, hair restoration, wrinkle creams..... gosh I could go on and on....

let me give you an example 2 of my co workers are in their 60's one looks about 10 yrs older than the other...

this is because of attitude one comes in to work with a sour negative outlook on life the other comes in with cheer, positive fun attitude, the one that looks younger also uses tools like using a hair coloring dye that gives her hair that vitality, thickness, manageability that she had when she was younger, she also puts very little make up on, just enough to enhance her looks but not enough to say wow look at those over done cheeks and eyes. she also uses a a wrinkle filler/cream/lotions/cleansers that a dermatologist recommended specially for her skin type and problem areas....she also chooses the right clothing styles for her body type that makes her look younger, more fit, professional looking.....

sometimes just putting a smile on a face makes a person appear younger.
sometimes just going to the dentist and getting the teeth cleaned/whitened makes a person appear younger...
sometimes just changing the way a person speaks can make a person look younger.....

the same works for making a person look older, teen agers do it all the time by changing their clothing, make up, how they talk and present their self to the world many teen agers pass for adults and end up in places where its illegal for teens to go like drinking in a bar. I know many 15-16 yr old girls that have passed for 20-25-30 yrs old just by taking the time to apply make up and choose clothes that make them look years older.

theres nothing stopping you from looking older if you really want to. just watch what those you admire are doing and then emulate /copy what they do..many department stores that sell mens/womens clothing and mens/womens make up, perfumes, colognes have free demonstrations in the stores on how to change your appearance older or younger, as does novelty stores for holidays, costume places, salons, barber shops. gosh there are so many ways you can learn how to appear a different age then you are. heck some of your friends off line or and online could probably tell you how to appear as old as you want to appear.

I don't know how they can be that much older than me. That is the problem I am having. If they are that old than so am I but I'm not and that is where I withdraw. Some of my parts are saying it is because we are that old. The body is that old but not me. I can't see how this all works.

Some parts stay the same age, and are very confused when their body becomes older. It is hard when your body doesn't look like you remember it. The body doesn't work like parts do, it continues to grow up over time. But there is a saying "young at heart". It means that your age is how you feel you are, not just what the body is. You don't have to grow older, but your body will. And that's okay. It just takes some work to accept sometimes.
Is there an older part that you trust who can help you out? What about your t?
Hope you are well,
xoxo

I guess that makes sense. I just don't think about the body getting older until I see friends that I have known for years. It's makes my brain feel confused.
