So say for instance 2 alters intergrated but both hold different views, which view becomes the right one.

Example, A part of us sees capitol punishment as being the right course off action, and another part is dead set against this. So where does that leave us?

I think it would feel different than either of them or a split decision.

I had a symptom that took up 5-15 hours of my day (and worked full-time) and use to wonder what it would be like not to have that symptom, what I'd "do" with that time. Now I don't have it but my life and feelings/thinking is not anything at all like I imagined.

I think your alters are smart and will solve their problems in creative ways you can't even imagine now that will satisfy all of you.

I think that would be more of a fusion rather than intergration?

I know it's a foreign concept for you, but this is the way singletons live What would it feel like? We have debates within our minds with what to do on many fronts... and ultimately make a decision that we hope will be the right one.

Learning how to make such decisions when you have both (or all) solutions or options "in mind" may take a bit of time, but it will happen. (As opposed to switching and allowing one alter make the decision and living with it.)

Hi,
My T said sometimes she argues with herself about issues kind of like Sky said. She has to weigh out the pros and cons of things and make the best decision. It's all about compromise, whether we are aware of parts of ourselves or not. Everyone has states of being and I think while the compassionate state might feel one way, the harder side might disagree. With parts or without, I think peace comes when we compromise. Best of luck to you as you figure out things. As far as capitol punishment, I'm still trying to find a favorite color even when I hear other parts demanding for another color. What would it feel like? I'll probably let someone else worry about that. What would it feel like?

I have had many memory pieces that have been integrated (remembered so that those memories are now a part of my conscious level of thinking just like a normal memory)

Nothing different happens with with - ME - with conflicting memory pieces. its like laving the memory of two things with the same theme for example parenting. - I - have memories of being told spanking a child is acceptable and memories of being told spanking a child is unacceptable.

But now because both pieces of memories are a part of - MY -conscious level of thinking like a normal memory - I - can make - MY - own deccisions based on what - MY - life is like today instead of unconsciously bouncing back and forth of acting out unconscious memories - one time spanking because that is the memory replaying when - I - am unaware and the next not spanking when that memory is replaying when - I - am unaware.

Basically integration gives - ME - MORE control of - MY - thoughts and behaviors.

A normal person has to deal with conflicting points of view all the time for example during campaigning of new presidents. all the candidates have different points of view and the citizens have to decide what is right for them based on what they want and need in thair present life.

integration is the same way the person has memories and can now make their own decisions and accepts responsibility for making those decisions based on what is going on in their present life time instead of acting out inappropieate behavior and so on when triggered.
