I am just getting back to work after being on medical leave for about 7 months
I pushed my doctor to allow me to go back to work part time at least. Now I am thinking it might have been a mistake I tend to not be able to say no and part time hours have blurred into full time hours without me know. Workaholic part just takes over and I cannot seem to leave anything unfinished Only problem is teen part wants time to play music, take photos, etc and is angry that I am back at work. Which causes binge eating and other self harm. Just tired of battling and then I am not able to function at all |

you need to listen to that teen and say no to the workaholic because otherwise you are going to be on leave again. you have to find a way to say no to work and enjoy yourself and have fun. you need to find balance in life. you know what the outcome will be if you work too hard. you have already described some of the negative effects that are already taking place. give yourself a break. play, have fun. give yourself permission to only work partime or you wont be working at all again. take care

This happens in a lot of (if not all the) systems that I know of...
Unfortunately, it's somewhat complicated: two different people have to live the same life... Do you have a gatekeeper/organizator/scheduler alter? If so, it'd be useful to create an schedule: work for a given number of hours, "relax" for a given number of hours. It may be difficult, but not impossible at all ![]() Cheers, Lana
