Yesterday, I went to see my youngest son play basketball. I was happy and sad at the same time. He has grown into a wonderful young man. But I could not remember him when he was younger. In all that happiness, I felt incredible sadness. In a couple of months he will be gone to college. I hope the memories of him and his siblings come back to me.
I only have bits and pieces of them when they are small. He had a outstanding game, this week he has had a total of 63 points. He has another game today, I will not be going, but my heart is with him. His school is over 2 hours away. I wish I could get over the pain I feel. Peaches and Nadine feel happy when they see him play. They are his age and want to be closer to him. DID shields me from the bad times but it also keeps the good memories away form me too.

My thoughts are with you, my dear friend. I wish life was so much easier for you.
Your son is amazing! Wow! Even if you don't remember everything about him, his brothers and his sister... please know that you've succeeded in raising your children into being caring, tolerant and responsible adults. |
