Please try yoga! It keeps you mindful and if you cannot be mindful it helps your practice mindfulness. You will find yourself feeling more in touch with yourself. It connects you to yourself and you will be glad that you did it. With the combination of yoga and medication I have been the most in touch with reality than I have in almost two years.

Possessed? Yoga is very spiritual and mind opening. It opens you up to being a kinder gentler and more peaceful person. I find that yoga makes me want to be more loving to myself and others. What do you think will possess you if you do yoga?

my friend said that in India they doing yoga for religious stuff, and for this evil gods too and that's why u can get possessed.. I never thought about yoga as something ritual, just as way for relaxation, but since my "I'm always right" friend scared me I don't know what to think about it, or how to stop think in this way, especially when topics about being possessed are a big trigger for my anxiety :/

I'm glad you found something that worked for you, but bear in mind that yoga isn't an option for everyone--some of us have physical disabilities that make it impossible, and practicing yoga on your own without any in-person instruction can lead to accidental injuries.

That's true but there are positions that are less strenuous on certain joints and parts of the body. Also just sitting and meditating and focusing on breath helps too! My main idea was to spread knowledge about being centered in ones mind

I have found that yoga will trigger me. My body goes off on it's own little tangent. Yoga isn't for every body.

Maybe you need to concentrate more on your breath it's made for mindfulness so it does nothing but keep you mindful when practiced right

Being mindful of my body triggers me sometimes. Maybe that could be what bothers Possum.

yup. I grew up hearing yoga is bad, going to clubs-u will be raped, going just for a walk at night-someone will rob/kill/rape u.. different topic, but always being scared by someone to make me not doing things... so I ended up with anxiety heavy depression and agoraphobia, I going out only with my dog for a walk or to doctor.. I thought before that maybe yoga would help me with my f!cked up mental health, but I'm scared of this coz of things ppl said and it's like closed circle.. :c

If yoga made things better for me sickchick then I would do it. If it works for you then great, got for it.
Yoga is about the breath and focusing inside and letting go. I have been to yoga sessions and as i got into it my body would start to spasm. I didn't have control of myself. This has happened on more than one occasion. I also had a very weird noise erupt from my mouth. It is embarrasing. Spasms happen in my life. They are hard to deal with emotionally and physically. Yoga does not bring me freedom. It brings me pain. It does not help me to break out. |

I just thought that if it worked for me it'd would for other people like me too. I still encourage you guys to stay mindful and find activities that keep you mindful and keep in mind that conquering your fears helps you grow so try what your scared of and be in the moment acknowledge that your scared and just feel that don't push the feeling away just be present and go with the flow. Hope this helps
