Just to let anyone know I'm putting this thread here because this is where I'm comfortable right now. So please don't move it somewhere else.

Well anyways. My mother called to let me know she has surgery scheduled for this friday. She's having a tumor removed from the back of her neck. It's like at the base of her head/ top of her neck and the size of a golfball. I don't know if it's because I've been through so much dealing with my brothers cancer. That I'm just in a I don't care mood about it all or if it's the fact of her being an abuser and the lack of protection from her that I'm just not as close to her?? I'm just not real sure. She's looking for support from me and I just don't want to deal with her. She has the surgery friday and I'm affraid I'll have to be there since I'm the closest relative to her. My brother lives close, but with his own illness isn't in a position to help much. She has a live in boyfriend that she said will take her. But he's not any relation to her and can't make decisions for her if needed. Mother's surgery I don't want to deal with her right now.

((((((((((((( Monty )))))))))))))

I understand. I truly do. Don't feel guilty and don't do something that is going to hurt you.

I'm going through something very similar and it's scary and hard to help the person who made your life so hard.

Hugs,

Jan

((((((((((((((((((Monty girl))))))))))))))))) Please take care of you. I can only imagine the conflicting feelings you are having. Maybe you can see if she can tell the hospital and doctor what her wishes are in the event something happens. It can be so hard when someone who hurt you wants your support. Please stay safe. Mom had her surgery and everything went well. She's gone home now. She's not in any pain yet ( meds still on broad ) and she's sleeping. Her throat is sore from the breathing tube, so we are going to get her some ice cream to eat when she wakes up. The tumor was fine and it was all gotten out.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Days like today sometimes it's good to be DID.
