yesterday Baby came out and was almost able to cry which was great for her and much needed and many of us comforted her which was good
afterwards we thanked Body Guard for giving her that (he doesn't usually give up much control - especially for tears)
then i tried going further with him and i pushed too hard i guess cause he shut me out and then went to the bathroom and
Possible trigger:

hurts like dang a lang and i'm pretty sure Body Guard sees things that aren't there cause he was trying to get a hair out but i don't think there was actually one there even though he could see it
sigh

I'm sorry that the experience of comfort for the Baby led to self-harm. Would you say that the problem is due to a conflict between the Baby needing nurturing and comfort, and the other protective part of you trying to prevent it for some reason?

I ask because I have a protective part that routinely tries to "undo" any comfort the small child part of me gets, either by taking the child away from work in therapy, or by mocking the child for being such a big baby and needing comfort.
Thanks for this!

so true, we've definitely got one that likes to mock any of the vulnerability
