Yesterday, I went shopping and came up to the register. The clerk was laughing at me because she said that I was carrying my groceries like it was a baby??? Huh?

I didn't get it at first, but after a few words, it dawned on me that she wasn't seeing me, she was seeing the body! Omg! So much for hiding things!

I got a good laugh because oooops! Lol.

i'm not sure i understand. maybe it's just me. there are some groceries that i carry like i'm holding a baby..it's just an easy way to carry them if i don't have too many things in my hands and don't need shopping cart. i also carry bags like cradling them like a baby if i cannot hold them another way. i don't realize i even do it though. just happens.

I, tipsy Susie runs into the store to grab a 6 pack of beer and forgot to act like the bodies known image, skips up to the counter and carries on a convo and doesn't realize it till I got to the parking lot to leave. Ummmm...like the bodies male! Ouch! Lololol

Some embarrassed guys in here!

You see, we have an image to keep, so actually we've all become great actors, somewhat, then....

Oops!

my wolf child really got into it with my t once.... they were nose to nose, yelling it out when wc HISSED at t. T yells YOU CAN'T HISS AT ME!!!!!. HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
I think it's funny. T eventually backed off and realized she was out of control (fear) and cried, and then we all felt bad... but that one part is still funny to us. T thought of herself always as "raised by wolves". (Why my wolf child hisses like a cat, I'm not entirely sure, but that's ok).
I also thought it was funny (as does the 6 yr old) when she hid while inside psych. Really, we were easily found, but because 6 took off running to a place she'd already prepared as a hidey hole (we're already smiling), she effectively 'disappeared' for 10 minutes and had the staff all upset. It was great.

Sounds like you need a new T Hun. Not good to be crying in a meeting.

she cried because in her opinion she'd broken her "do no harm" oath and hurt me and it affected her deeply.
the point is moot - she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-smoker's lung cancer a mere 5 months later.
in the last 15 months since then I've met with 10 different t's.
she was my best t. I really miss her. she was a bit unconventional at times, but the most understanding and compassionate about DID and not at all afraid of it.
