I love going on choir tours.. but packing for a 7 day trip to Italy is the hardest thing ever. We usually have our "packing buddies" but none of us follow the rules -.-
For now we've got:
5 t-shirts (2 of which are very small because of Annie)
a skirt and a dress because Vladimir and Cari wanted.. even though me and Waidth are androgynous and we will not wear those..
Heck tons of button-downs.. because me and Carolinae fit the "lesbian stereotype"
A damn pocket knife, for Waidth's "safety" reasons..
3 stuffed animals- my anti anxiety sheep, the bear that Cari gave me and a panda that is kinda for all but Annie wanted it. And we have a sheep named "Moppy" in my bag for the bus.
2 types of blanket
A coloring books and a guide to colors for out colorblind Vladimir..
We have an anti-stress bottle and a ball
Waidth and Evee's journals.
2 types of napkins (kid ones and "grown up" ones)
2 types of plasters (again the same thing as the above)
A pair of shorts (for me), skinny ripped jeans (for Waidth), green skinny jeans (for Cari and Vlad) and shorts for the littles.
Everything has to be ready until the 24th.. and we cannot stop argue. If I remove something that is not needed someone is going to throw a temper tantrum. Waidth is being manic, I am psychotic, Cari and Vlad are yelling at each other because that shirt does not go well with those pants" Annie is trying to go in the suitcase and Evee is waiting for us to get tired so that she can take over.
Ahh the struggle of packing for 6!

heads up any knives and other hidden weapons will get you into trouble at the airport, things like alarms will go off, security detaining you, possibly missing your flight, being treated as a terrorist...

suggestion unpack anything that can be considered a weapon. airlines have websites that explain what can and cant be taken with you. maybe check on the website or call the airports you have to go through including those between Bulgaria and on to your final destination.

have your mother or who ever is your caretaker right now, help you pack she will know what you need to take, they will have a list of approved items the school gave them. and if this is a boarding school type situation your teachers, house person will have that list of what you can and cant take.

Also airlines are now charging by weight and number of bags so you might also make sure to take extra money in case your luggage and carry on goes over the limit for free.

You know...I've told ourselves is to go basic and formal....leave the flat iron on the bathroom counter. As a system, we have an event to deal with, ....not an outing. This is business...

At least this way it has worked for us. We are self trained to be a minimalist...it's actually less stressing on the system.
