Being able to keep it together for the most part in public? A lot less thoughts of self harm that have not really gone through thanks to *ahem* them.

How do you and your system react in regards to alcoholic beverages?

There is not much drinking at all. It has a dramatic effect, maybe because the body isn't used to it.

For those who have animals in your life: do they notice or act differently when you switch?

Oh dear. Sooooo many things to choose from!
I feel guilty for not using study time (handed to me freely) effectively.

Name one thing you miss from a time in your past.

Money. It was made of paper...or some kind of cloth perhaps...about six inches long and flat. I may be wrong though, it's been a while since I've seen any.

And for ruh roh: Yes, our doggie knows when we switch. Sometimes he'll wake up out of a dead sleep when our little arrives. He likes her more than me.

What was the most interesting job you've ever had? If you've never had a job, what job do you think would be interesting for you?

Bed. But it's soooo far away. Okay, seriously, I've been everywhere I've ever wanted to go - been to almost a hundred countries. Beauty everywhere but Alaska remains our favorite.

What was your favorite class you ever took in school?

Is that where all your money went, yagr?

Favorite class was... ummm... none, really. They were all intensely boring. But we liked to study interesting topics on our own out of school hours!

What is your favorite thing that you own? (any kind of thing)

our internet radio.

being able to listen to any station from anywhere in the world has really broadened our musical horizons.

do you, or have you ever, given stuff (money, objects) to charity?

Yes, lots. We don't have much money wise, but we give what we can to all sorts of charities. 'Stuff' too. We don't hold on to much. We don't need much. What we have beyond our needs we are happy to give to someone who needs it more.

What is your favorite piece of music?

This question was missed, and I'd like to answer it because of all the many jobs over the years. The most interesting was working in film/tv because of how varied it was. Same with political activism. It was also interesting being a graveyard switchboard operator aboard a large ship. Doing the same thing every day is impossibly hard.

Luce's question: What is your favorite piece of music?

Pop for the host, the other two are willing to listen. The more masculine fellow seems to like rock.

What are you looking forward to this next coming week?

Seeing the new therapist. I have some work to do and I need to get it done like yesterday, so I just want to get in there and get stuck into work.

Same question for next person.

The closest thing we might feel to this is probably when we're alone and there is only silence and we're walking by ourselves (Ex: Being on the college campus after hours). It almost feels as if nothing is moving forward at that time and we're pretty much stuck.

Do you think you have someone who you can really call "friend"? We know it's different for everyone.

I have two people whom I would call 'friend'. One lives in a city some hours away from me and another lives in another country. These are the only two who know about our DID.

Do you wish you could share more of your self with others?

YES!! Yes I do. Sadly that is not the case with me.

I truly have no idea where I fall on that spectrum. DID? Dissociative? Who knows?

It would be so amazing to be able to talk with someone openly about what I'm feeling and experiencing. I don't have words to describe it. My isolation is (this sounds whiny) sad.

This must be the question... tricccccky!

I would think if there is any possibility of you having DID at all, then the likelihood of you having some form of dissociative disorder must be 'very high' at the least.

Are you - or have you ever been - a vegetarian?

the very thought of that freaks us out.

we don't touch the stuff. we hate it. we knew someone who was at 1 stage, and we just couldn't believe how she could do it.

do you like watching nature (birds singing, flowers growing, what ever)

One of us loves nature and flowers and being outside.

And in answer to the vegetarian question, my entire system is vegan and it has made life a lot easier for everyone. There are still a lot of variations in tastes between everyone even with a vegan diet, but the field is more contained and the confusion with shopping has been reduced tremendously.

Question: How does your system celebrate birthdays?
Thanks for this!

According to the desires of each. I don't celebrate mine but the little one does.

Also, in the interest of camaraderie, thirty years as a system wide vegetarian here.

" questions: dissociative disorders version"

For birthdays, I like to go out and eat, at a nice restraint, food that I like. I'm almost a vegetarian, if that can be. The only meat I like is chicken and anything that comes from the ocean.

I love, love being outside!!

Question: What activity do you like to do outside? Walking, running, bird watching, etc?
