It's Monday morning and the workers goto work and we gals get the evening. A 5 day living schedule, then the weekend free for all happens where we fall apart to not doing much, but stuck in a limbo of disorganization and inner struggles till Monday morning.

We've bought a 18 speed bcycle and want to go riding but most don't want to and yet some are fighting over what to wear. So there it sits for the past 3 weeks. Plus some think it's too hot even though we work in the heat all day everyday, but they don't know because they aren't there...go figure. Some don't want to be seen in public or even outside.

Our system finds peace and stability on Monday morning so much that it's rather a relief to going back to work on schedule- quite the opposite of the rest of the world.

We've tried iniating a weekend schedule, but the uncertainty and overriding vetoes ensues.

Dammit- it's Saturday and I'm going to go riding.

we tgry and find stabiklity, even on the weekends.

like:

no matter what day it is, we're going to eat sausages for breakfast at 8 30

we're going to catch up on yesterday's tv shows between 12 and 3 PM

we're going to eat at 5 33

etc etc

it must be diffrent for you because you work (i don't work so i can't realy comment on it from that perspective), but it must be tough for you on the weekends because you don't have that focus to fall back on

We went on a 3 hour bike ride! Its a guy thing, but I think its going to be a thing every Saturday around the city. Maybe even do a marathon. I bought the accessories, helmet, bike, and outfit. We looked awesome.

Funny thing, we went up to Walmart for a side mirror wearing our blue and yellow Danskin short shorts and a matching sleeveless shirt. A young lady walked out wearing the samething as us! The guys got a laugh out of it. It would of been funny if we walked into each other. lol
Thanks for this!

i struggle with weekends too, all that unstructrued time allows for too much musing and conversing to start going on in my head. although, the one good thing about the weekends is that it is a good time to allow little insiders to come out and enjoy life a bit.

I agree, it does give the system others a chance to breathe. We never have enough time though. Ever. There is never ever enough time. For many years we used to stay up until 3 or 4am and get up for work again at 7. It was the only way we didn't feel in an absolute panic about time all the time.
But it still was not enough.

The weekends have become weird for me. During the week I wake up (mostly) when my alarm goes off and get my day started. I really haven't been a big sleeper. I've always thought it was a waste of time and I could get so much done if that wasn't necessary. Even on the weekends I would get up early and head for the trail and be back by lunch.

Now, on the weekends I don't even hear my alarm in the mornings. If I do it's just this vague memory after I get up. Getting up on the weekends now is usually 12:00!! I hate this!!! Nothing has changed except all the stuff I'm dealing with in my head.
