Omg...I was just attacked on FB.
![]() The support pages are unmoderated and full of aggressive opinions. I deleted them all. All I said was early childhood trauma can produce DID. Somebody in Australia got all big and stuff so that I left the group. I guess peeps create pages to rule the words. Thank God you all are sane. ![]() |

facebook is not meant to be a mental health website with moderators and all that stuff. its a social networking website where like minded people, friends and family can befriend each other, play games together, keep in touch with each other. when disasters hit they can also use facebook to let family and friends know they are safe. the pages that are things like physical and mental health groups are not run by any professionals or moderated by anyone in particular. its like friends getting together who just happen to have the same problems. I think of it like this in real life my friends and I dont always agree and sometimes friends do get into arguements/ disagreements and its mine and my friends responsibility to take care of these arguments/ disagreements between the two of us, my friends and I are grown adults capable of working out our own disagreements we are not children needing another adult standing over us reminding us "use your words, take time to listen to each other..." you know all that stuff parents do for their children when children have their disagreements. facebook does have a report page where anyone can report anyone to facebook who they feel is in violation of facebook rules just like psych central has a way to report posts and people who we think may be violating the rules of the site, facebook also has a way to ignore those we dont want to see their posts.... (its called clicking unfollow) of it its a major problem to unfriend and block a person. I actually enjoy facebook and how it is set up, and any time I have had a problem with others and had to take the step to report the post or person that was violating the rules of the site facebook has been very helpful they even now have a special spot in each persons notifications where they send you a notice / copy of the complaint and what steps facebook is taking to help with the problem. my suggestion if you feel this person is in violation of the rules of facebook and what facebook is for then send facebook a report. |

One young one said "that's not true"...so I asked his credentials and I got he's been Dissociative for 14 years and read a book. So I left.

There are groups on FB that are meant to be fun. I joined a Remember the 1970's group and was posting old songs from YouTube like everyone else. One person kept criticizing my choices. I finally had to drop out of the group...people are hateful. I have come across more hateful people than nice....it seems.

I don't use twitter, snapchat, instagram...
Hardly check my email because a lack of friends or family- no danger of opening an email virus. Nobody even would care about what we have to tweet or say...it would be crazy unimportant stuff. |

we are always checking emails first off, we get all the stuff from the forums- new private message alerts, reply notifications, friendship requests, and it's also our way of talking to people we met online who we'd like to talk to outside the relevant sites (actually we sometimes get funny jokes sent to us and that's cool!) |

We are often embarrassed at/about ourselves with personel expression...as with the previous year...nobody wants to be seen or heard from anymore after that frenzy. I'm sure it's after a lifetime of being abused and made to feel worthless for so long. So we sit at home safe from public exposure, but yet yearning connection. Public speaking isn't our thing.l.it's so stressful to panic attacks not knowing what's going to come out your mouth next! Ugh it's so soul binding and exhausting! It's totally scary to read what other people's return comments so much it may take days to get up the courage to check it out, hence the delay in replies. Anyways...We can only wish. ![]() |
