This is a fun thread for sharing those 'huh?' moments (big and small) when you know you've 'missed' something.
Thanks for this!

... when you have only ever had 2 friends on Skype, but you log on to find you have two more - people you've never heard of with names and email addresses you don't recognize, but from the typed exchanges you can see 'you' have chatted with them.
Thanks for this!

... when you tell your friend you haven't had a chance to go and visit another friend since you've been back in town (you've only been back a few weeks) and your friend looks at you strangely... and points out that you've been 'back in town' for nearly 20 years.

Oh. Yeah. That's right.
Thanks for this!

... when you're on a road trip and driving up a really, really big hill (it's so big and winding your attention is excitedly focused on where the top is) and then you think you've finally reached the top and drive around the final corner and -

- find yourself driving alongside the sea shore.
No hill in sight.

Thanks for this!

...when you wake up and overnight every stuffie in the house has been migrated to the bed and are lined up staring at you to say Goodmorning!

And then you pass the mirror and see you are also all dressed up for a very lovely tea-party

When you go into the kitchen to get a soda but suddenly come back with a soda, a glass of tea, and a water... only remember grabbing a soda.
Thanks for this!

6 months into seeing a T, you notice the big tree in his office. "you got a tree?" you ask. "It's been there 20 years" he answers. Right...um..sure

....when you plan a quiet night in in front of the tv, and before you know it- your house looks like it's been hit by world war 3, and you're picking up random items from the floor (and clearing sick from the sink)

... when your usual way of 'writing essays' is to wait for the essay to 'write itself', but this time it isn't working (for months on end). You keep waiting for it to magically appear like it usually does, but it just doesn't.

...And you realize you have no clue what to do about it.

This type of thing happens to me virtually all the time. I must be blind to half of the things around me. I had people looking strange at me for asking if "that thing is new here".

When you wake up next to someone you don't know and they call you by a different name. Or when you find yourself driving somewhere and you think, "I'll just drive back home. It couldn't be that far", and then finding out that you are over three hundred miles from home. The big one is when you max out a credit card and for the life of you can't figure out what you even bought.

When you forget the entire month of August and when you look back in your planner you see stickers all over the place. When that is not something you would normally do because you are usually very organized and never play with stickers.

When you realize you don't know where you are at. You look around to find out whose apartment you are at, but no one else is there. You look out the window and see how cold it is outside, but you think you live in Phoenix where it is always warm.

When people call you Samantha, but that is not your name. Although, for some reason you forgot your name and think that your name is Samantha.

When you look outside and see it is snowing and think it is spring, but really it is December. Even though you were never in the hospital in the spring.

When you get mad and forget what you did while you were mad.
