It's late and I've got a lot going through my mind. My appointment with my counselor was tonight and we talked about "the analytical" part of me. It's a strong one, looking for answers.

I dove off in my journal and wrote a letter to it. It came to me that it might encourage someone else, so we decided to share it.

I hope this is the right place to do that.

*** IT IS MOST PROBABLY TRIGGERING ***

Dear Analytical one,

The triggers happen, they connect with fragments sometimes, other times it's just a frozen void of me silently shaking my head "no."

Such heavy denial of what doesn't want to be seen or acknowledged.

It keeps pushing with such persistence. I pray for Grace and mercy for my soul and my "being."

The realness is too much to look into the face of.

It will not go away, and cannot be denied or ignored.

The intensity is only building to validate what is truth, but hidden behind the fear of really knowing.

I pray again for Grace and mercy. Please I pray, hold me and rock me into the knowledge of truth.

Compassion and tenderness is longed for in this trial of trusting what is known, but not by me.

Please, I pray, caress it into my inner thoughts and grow it from there. Seeds of truth grow at their own pace - sure and true, with strength and safety.

Please, I pray, do not blindside me with the vivid reality of truth. It will surely shatter all that I am or have sheltered myself from.

In reality, I have already been shattered. Then. Grace and mercy, I pray, as the pieces come to me now.

Too much at one time is too much to take in safely. Please, I pray, just a piece at a time.

You want to get to truth, for validation for us all.

Thank you! Thank you for what you are doing. You are only trying to help find freedom and peace.

Please, I pray, for Grace and mercy.

Much love and thanks,
Me/Us

Thank you for sharing this.

I am the analytical one in us.
I hear you.
Others here would say this to me.

Thank you.
I would give that compassion to you.
Therefore,
I must also give that compassion to us.

Our "analytical one" is emotionless like a computer dealing with problem solving with logic and hard cold facts to keep a clear unbiased perspective. It doesn't register human emotions: they are foreign states that have nothing to do with it. It responds more to logic and uncorrupted data.

Good luck...I hope it works for you.

Thank you Luce, for hearing me and also your reply.

I'm thankful that it spoke to you. Maybe you are the one who I needed to share it for. Reading it again today, it seems like a really personal thing to have posted. Your reply takes that feeling away!

Thank you! It does feel a bit calmer today. Maybe Analytical is hearing the words.

That part of me has always been as you describe your analytical part. Looking at facts. Sorting things out. Piecing things together. Digging for truth and validation of the facts. There was no emotion there either. It didn't realize that it was scaring the crap out of the other parts, whose job it has been to keep these things safely silent and put away.

There seems to have been a "come to Jesus" that it had. It had an encounter with another part, that woke it up to the fear it was causing.. There is emotion that it doesn't understand, and a sadness that it has caused such distress within. It truly means no harm, and is only looking for answers.

The letter last night, seems to have come of it's own will and written itself. I've gone back and read it several times, and it speaks comfort and truth to me.

I hope it speaks some kind of encouragement to your analytical part.
