.....well.
It's almost been a week of not drinking (6 days) now, and everyone isn't blasted drunk, but more calm and rational which feels weird. When we were very drunk...everyones drunken personality was blatant, loud, and extreme which made for harder switches- but now things are more subtle (except for the revolving door thingy). Every now and then an Other will throw a desire to drink out there, but as a group we say "No!" which is more then we have ever done of recent years. The littles are happy now and all they want to do is eat cookies and cake...but we can't. ![]() (Still find the peanut butter and jelly jars on the counter top). We got all this weight to lose before summer is here even though it's in the 80's now. Last edited by Anonymous48690; Apr 23, 2017 at 09:06 AM. |

Unless, the AA forum it probably is from someone's childhood, when had you first noticed someone take a drink? I was going to say the AA forum is also a resource to help support addictive issue. Trust that at least that alter(s) is observing if they want to try to turn that into not an issue. I think is the also some of the si behavior that you gotta grow out of if you actually want all alters agreed that actually have the problem.

You know....We are going to try using the forum to see if we can get use to being expressive about our experiences.

I know the shifts and hard changes that happen when alcohol's in the mix of things. A couple just get scared and 'hide'. Those of us who don't become very, well, it's hard to explain. We all handle it differently but we are all switching rapidly at the same time. It's weird. I'm saying all of this because my team here is attempting to quit drinking, as well. We've been very successful and haven't had a drink since Easter, even then we only had our one glass of wine (didn't even finish that) and didn't attempt to drink anymore. Anyway, we're here to talk to if you'd like to do that. I'm proud of your six days, by the way. We're cheering you on from afar.

Yaaay! Congrats on your Easter start. I tried the day after, but couldn't and had to have an embarrassing breakdown to give us the desire. I know we can relate here...but these local AA meetings with singular alcoholics...they always have this weird wide eyed look after my say because anxiety hits and we switch and don't remember what was spoken! Lol Sometimes I have to ask "what did I say? Did it make sense?" Lol I guess just quitting a heavy drinking binge has got us unnerved going cold turkey. I'm going to give it awhile before trying again. This is my only contact with the outside work except work where they think Ius to be quite odd, lol Thank you. ![]() |
