I was just listening to "Me and Mrs Jones" 1972, It was good the first time I listened to it but by the third time I was filled with memories and emotions of my first love. I was young and he was 10 yrs my senior. I thought we could be friends with benefits. I didn't realize that you don't choose who you fall in love with. It was such a strong love. And when it ended I was profoundly depressed. I contemplated my own death. And it was luck or divine intervention that it didn't happen. I saw him about a year ago and the feelings came rushing back. Tempered a bit but still surprising. It felt like yesterday. It's been 40 years. And the music carries me back as though time stood still.

I find music very triggering.... especially music from childhood. It is a bit like a time warp. I don't often listen to music especially not the radio because I have no control over what will play.
