I look at these pictures of people I'm supposed to know and pictures of myself. I stare at 'em all I want but I can't remember a damn thing. Then my head hurts and I'll feel dizzy and sick to my stomach. So, I give up.
Anyone else familiar with this?

I might as well look at anyone’s pictures because it feels just the same. There is not one picture of us in the house save our drivers license. I guess, I get why you have past pictures...maybe one day make a connection....yes? |

Well, they're not my pictures, they're my dad's. I'm currently having to stay at his house, so I have to live with these pictures on the wall of myself and people I'm supposed to know but they simply look like stangers to me.

I just usually stare....trying to search a blank memory for any connection to the person and surrounding....
If the picture was a random picture in a newspaper....I wouldn’t notice it. I know how you feel....I try to avoid any visual contact with them....but somehow my body nerves can detect their presence in the sensation of tingly heat. |

Yes, I hear you. Some childhood photos I remember places and things, very rarely I recall the exact event or time. Because childhood was spent in one place with certain people being there as a recurring theme it is less jarring.
Adulthood photos are problematic for me. I think people are "supposed" to remember things, or at least other people seem to be able to. I have many many photos that I have no recall of either people places or things and clothing also that is very unfamiliar and uncharacteristic for me. I mean I obviously owned those clothes because they keep appearing in photos but I don't ever remember them or having them in my closet even. ETA I don't feel dizzy or sick I just have nothing at all. No clue, no response. My body isn't even defending a memory I just don't know at all. |

I think a lot of my mental/physical reactions are due to repulsion and denial...especially from the opposite gendered alters. They seem to hate it, hence non acceptance of an irreversible biological state of existence.

Finding out who got here for pictures in what facet is actually a great way to once in that phase to start again. First, because parents trained you too especially if not in a perceived switch moment you had to do what parents tell you to do. I'd guess pictures of those used at Valetine's Day, School Photos, signs at stores and those sitcoms on televison. Basically, I'm more solutions minded because at the end of the day someone is going to be chasing a reason to see and view them or something in co con for cooperation.

Different parts lived different parts of our lives...which did what....no clue. As far as I can remember....maybe yesterday?..bits and pieces.
Our system map is a fragmented quagmire....so much a beginning is moot.... So no selfies here thank you. ![]() |
