Yes, it is good. A safe place where people can speak their truth without judgement. Can you imagine how the general public would react if we tried to have a DID conversation with them?

for the most part, when we try to have did conversations with the general pubblic, they'll ask " who do you mean when we say we?", we'll tell them we are did and they'll wonder off

We came here specifically for this subforum. There are very few places where we can openly talk about these things. Find people who relate. Very few places where we can all be acknowledged for who we are as individuals. Even online it can be hard to find people who empathize. I will squish you all.

and there was one forum not here where you were strictly prohibited from saying we even if you were DID

a forum I used to know where they had a self harm section, but you wern't allowed to talk about it.

seriously, on every category their was a sticky at the top, no self injury talk, then further underneath their was a self injury forum

OK yeah that makes no sense. I get that these things are sensative and you gotta be careful with what you say. But how can anyone really be of any help if you aren't honest and up front about the problem?
I'm on another forum where only the host is allowed to post. Not only that but you aren't allowed to give any details about alters and they are not allowed to post. So...not being allowed to say these things kinda defeats the purpose.

this might be helpful. people with DID are free to discuss whatever they like. it has over 1,000 comments so there is also a part two. I havent posted there but it seems a lot of people have had good discussions and become friends.

I want to say it was called healing gardens, I don't think it was,, all I can remember is hearing somewhere it got taken over by another website or something
