I doubt this is normal I think, and I don’t know if it’s from years of hard living with drugs and alcohol, but it’s been like this for as long as I can remember...

It’s black with spinning red scribble lines spinning and shooting one way or another...much like running, falling, staggering through the woods with a red light at night seeing only the outlines of every single blade of grass, leaf, tree....spinning. When I open my eyes in the dark...I still can see the chaos.

When I try to imagine a picture (like now), it’s pushed out of the way and fades away by the swirly red/black mess.

When hypomanic, I see geometric rainbow shapes (mostly round) dancing before my eyes open or shut in a kalediscope kind of fashion, bouncing to a rhythmic beat.

I think my noodles are scrambled.

um suggestion get yourself to a doctor immediately....

this is a retinal eye problem that happens with physical health problems like glaucoma, cataracts, or physical eye damage from looking straight at the sun during an eclipse. it can also show that a persons retina has detached from the eye if there has been a very recent blow to the head.

it can also happen with some physical health problems where the covering of the nerves are degenerating like MS.

some people who are on drugs at the moment that they see this, they do have a trip affect while under the affects of a drug of seeing "Psychedelically" once the drug is out of their body the Psychedelics stop.

you also said that you get this way when you are hypomanic, hypomanic is part of being bipolar and the only time with my bipolar that this has happened it was a medication over dosage. my suggestion is contact your treatment provider or if it continues to go to your local er. they will be able to do a small adjustment to your meds to get you through until you can see your doctors.

I don’t know if its the Lamictal and prozac, though...I feel an intensity through me.

An antipsychotic does a mean number on my head like lightning zaps and sizzles that I will never take them.

I need to ask the bipolar peeps.
