It's still so murky in there!
What techniques did you use to successfully get yourselves to come forward? Thank you! |

instead I and my treatment providers worked my treatment plans of learning how to take care of my triggers, how to remain grounded and aware instead of dissociating. with me my alters were the result of extreme trauma and my dissociating because of that trauma, which resulted in my alters being created. in order for them to come forwards or take control I had to be so triggered that I would have my dissociation problems. if I purposely caused myself to dissociate then my treatment provider would have rediagnosed me as having something different instead of DID. in other words all my life my alters were just naturally taking control/ coming forwards any time I was triggered. it was not something I controlled/ made happen. it was something that happened to me. |

I wish I knew...everything pretty much is a trigger...every facet of my day is divided up to parts. Going home is a trigger. People places and things. Sometimes we fight for control. To stay present, I go to work 6 days a week which makes for a bigger check bonus.
Maybe building a trigger free daily routine? I do the same thing everyday...that helps keep the switching to a minimum- I know what to expect and have very few surprises. |
