I am trying to work on an assignment for school and keep dissociating. I need ideas to get through this assignment. It's affecting everything I do. I feel so much anxiety.
What do you do to help to stop the dissociations before they start, when you have identified a trigger? |

Have identified the trigger? Can you remove the trigger or get away from it?
We have tried taking a break and doing something else for a little bit. Something that may help our mind focus a little more. Like watch a favorite show on TV. Or take a shower/bath. Play a video game. Other than that, we can't think of anything...

Unfortunately the assignment is due in the next two weeks. I can't avoid it too long. I ended up calling my t. Then I took a break, talked with family and played a game on my tablet for 2 hours.
I still have stomach issues. I hope I can sleep. |

How about for every hour you work on the assignment you give yourself a 10 minute break? Or something similar? Set it up where you get breaks as part of working on it. We think that may help with some of the stress of the assignment... It helps us.
