Yes it happens a lot. T is about to say something really important and I wait for it, try to concentrate and either hear nothing at all (block him out.) or all I hear T say is 'Blah, blah, blah!' T said, blah, blah, blah...

Today was interesting because before he said, 'Blah, blah' blah...' He said, 'I'm going to say this very quietly...' T said, blah, blah, blah...

I have blocked things out for years now, and I know I am becoming more aware but gosh it is frustrating!

Oh, gosh, how I know what you mean!!!!!

One thing that helped is that t asked me to repeat...I actually asked him to do that because I was becoming more aware like you and it upset me badly.

Repeating did really help. It wasn't perfect, but I retained LOTS more. The next step was holding onto it for longer than a few hours. T said, blah, blah, blah...

Just want you to know that I understand.

Ah, yes, last week T said two words, I then repeated those two words back to him and then he repeated them again. Which was great apart from when I got home and couldn't for the life of me remember what those two darn words were!

It is something we are working on together, getting more aware is progress but very frustrating for sure.

Thanks kimmydawn. T said, blah, blah, blah...

Oh yea, understand that. I do it a lot too. With T, if I realize it, I ask her to repeat it but oftentimes I just zone out again as she is saying it for the 3rd time. That's a great idea kd about repeating it. I need to try that next time I am with T and I notice.

I have also realized that I do it with shows on tv. I will think off and on all day that there is a show I want to watch, turn the tv on, see the show start and the next thing I know, it's over and I don't remember watching it or if I do have a vague recollection of watching, I couldn't for the life of me put into words what I saw.

More than a few hours? Without cheat sheets? T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah...

T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah...

W2H - I literally can't watch TV/movies because I just slip away while my body is sitting there. My husband hates it, because I'm constantly asking "who is that? what's going on?" lol

As for T, yeah, it's REALLY hard to be present and hear what he says. I'm getting better at it. He told me that he can tell when I'm not really tuned in, and so then he tries to get my attention.

He has started writing little notes for me to take home if it's something he really wants me to hang on to. That's been helpful. I have all these little yellow post it notes everywhere now with T's words on them T said, blah, blah, blah... I wonder if T could write some for you, Pegasus??

Yeah, we do that too. For us its like we can't make sense of anything we hear... can see the lips moving, try real hard to focus, but can't hear anything but meaningless gobbledegook. Sometime sour t would write message for us, and sometime swe could rea d them and sometimes we couldn't Sometimes the head would roll away if we tried to look
Some thigns you are just not meant to know right now

(((Pegasus))) is is frustrating, and you are healing...because before you didn't even know he was going blah blah blah... soon you will hear words...and after that, you'll recognize what the words mean... T said, blah, blah, blah... T said, blah, blah, blah...

So glad I'm not alone with this one.

I can see that it is progress as I used to blank out whole T sessions. But how I see it is, the information must be going in somewhere. There must be a part of me holding this information, maybe doing the old job of protecting me from stuff that might be harmful. Kind of, Topsecret information that I can't see or hear just yet!

Thanks all for your replies. T said, blah, blah, blah...
