I want to heal ....but we are trap in or thought and our actions. Is very difficult to work with a single person with a lot of issue but harder when we have to work with our issuies and with a system that have their own issue as alters. We have decide to start this journy. We need to used tools that are already made even they are hard to find and also we have to construct our unique and usable tools

Lets work together

Welcome to the DID forum gennoah

I like what you have written. Remembering that each alter is unique and have their own ways of coping but also somehow working as a team.

It can be difficult to respect each individual and learn to work as a team. You will find the way that best works for all of you.

hi, i am glad to hear that you have made the decision to get the help you need.

at the beginning i felt it was a trap i was caught in, but later i developed a real respect for the different alts. each one had contributed something to keeping me alive and functioning.

dissociating works really well in childhood to escape from unbearable circumstances, things too hard to bear, but when we grow up those same "tools" are not really good for the adult life we need to live. therapy sure can help to gain new tools and re-make some of the old ones and let some go away at the proper time. glad you are here. keep coming back.

Welcome, I'm new too

I hope you find the answers you are looking for. We learned to work as a team a few months ago. We've found it pretty helpful. I hope that you can do the same in your quest
