My dearest Mary, when Don does something that triggers you remind yourself that

1) it is Don not your dad
2) Don's behavior can be looked at in a different way (like we have done over the last few days). Sometimes we fit people into scenarios from our past and they really don't belong there. We can just interpret things to fit into what we have experienced.
3) Your anger is probably mostly from the past and you have every right to this anger. Work through it by understanding where is it coming from.
4) You are not a helpless child anymore but a capable adult!
