These are some of the motivational games on www.something-fishy.org
Again I am sharing this section of the website to try to give some ideas. Doll Motivational games Reasons to Love Me Game by: Amy Medina This is a game to play with someone that loves you -- someone you trust -- a good friend, a sibling, a significant-other or spouse. Sit with pen and paper. You can use colored paper and markers if you want, or a simple notepad. It's up to you. Sit with the person who you are going to work on this with... make sure to feel comfortable... sit on the floor, on a cozy couch, at a table -- wherever you will be most at-ease. Ask your partner to give you the reasons they love and care about you. Ask them to come up with at least five, but the more the better. As they give you each reason, DO NOT argue with them, or think they are lying... try to enjoy what they are saying! Write them down on your paper. Tell your partner how it makes you feel doing this. Are you uncomfortable? Do you feel happy? Sad? Angry? Communicate with them about what you feel and why you think you feel that way. Later on, when you are alone, look at your list. Think of ways you can turn this list into your own positive self-affirmations. Think of ways you can turn this into your own "why I love myself" list. Write your own affirmations on index cards to carry in your pocket, so you can refer to them when you are feeling low. Write them with lipstick on your bathroom mirror! Put them in your journal... be sure to put this list and your own affirmations in a safe place that you can go back to and read when you need to! This is a good game to play with the help of your therapist if you need to. Ask your therapist ahead of time and bring your spouse or friend with you to a session! In Ten Years Game by: Amy Medina You have to answer two questions...

Land of Oz Game by: Tony Medina In the movie the Wizard of Oz...we had three characters in search of something. We had.... The Scarecrow who was looking for a brain... The Tinman who was looking for a heart... and the Lion who was looking for some courage... While watching the movie we grow to learn that they ALL had what they were searching for but never knew they had it. THE GAME:
NOW.....close your eyes, click your heels, open the door....and welcome to technicolor! GOOD LUCK!!! And remember...THE MUNCHKINS DON'T BITE! ![]() Mirror-Mirror on the Wall Game by: Amy Medina You will need crayons, colored pencils, magic markers, or a pen, and either your journal, a piece of paper or index cards to complete this exercise.
The 5th idea that was suggested was a coping bank (I have this idea posted already) So look on the sticky for the coping bank. I will post more games in a few days Doll |
