I'm somewhere along the way towards "nutritional restoration" and have gained a significant amount of weight. I'm not at my target weight yet, and am still hovering below the bottom BMI range for my size, but I'm feeling HUGE! It's terrible, and I'm getting pretty miserable about it.

I do know that it's largely distortion, because I can still feel my ribs a bit more easily than I believe is healthy, and my hipbones still stick out. But even knowing that it's a distortion isn't enough -- I'm feeling yucky.

Has anyone here been through anything during treatment that dealt directly with adjusting body image? Dealing with the crisis invovled with getting bigger?

I understand how you feel, I have been there, but I don't really have an answer to your question. Sorry. It's hard for my T focus on one subject since there is always more than one thing going on.

I never really entered treatment, just went at it on my own, and once I hit the point that you are I gave up. I can offer no good advice, other then it is only your perception. You are a beautiful, strong woman and a body won't change that. And especially not a normal body weight body. I promise. :3

If you're in treatment, I assume you have a T. Definitely talk about it with the T. They're trained to deal with this thing, and I know you can over come it. ^__^ You've come so far, so promise not to give up now!!!

Good luck honey. *hug*
