It seems a lot of the forums on here have a daily check in type thread. So I thought of one we could put here. I think it's pretty relatable for the various types of ed so I'm putting it in the main forum. I figured it could just be a place to leave a supportive word, or brag about a healthy meal or a day or healthy eating.
It might even be a place we can look for other healthy ideas. I know I actually have trouble knowing how to eat healthy other then salad. So I would love to hear about what anyone else likes I'll start, Today for breakfast I had a piece if whole wheat toast with peanut butter and banana. The other half of the banana went into a smoothie with strawberries, yogurt, oj, protein powder and flax Lunch was some Mandarin oranges and a wrap with lettuce, cucumber, chicken and a little mayo |

Today for breakfast I had greek yogurt with granola, blueberries, and a banana...Lunch is going to be bowtie pasta with marinara sauce, and some grapes...
that wrap sounds good, Silent! |

Today was not a good day for me. Although I did mange to have a bowl of cereal and some yogurt. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

I went to the store & bought a lot of healthy foods.....now all I have to do is make sure I eat them.
A watermellon, a cucumber, lettuce for salad (my favorite food), those new belvita breakfast bars that are for sustained energy, cabbage for making cole slaw (love the recipe, sort of sweet & sour that you cook the dressing on the stove then pour it over the cabbage. I bought some golden raisens & apples to make a mango chutney (oops, I forgot the cranberries).....was going to make a cranberry apple chutly to put over the brie & wrap that in the puff pastery. Also going to make a wonderful custard pie. I mostly like bland flavors when I'm stressed & not feeling like eating but also like foods with some interesting flavors that really make me want to eat the food. Really depends on my mood. I bought the cucumber to mix with cream chease, onion & dill weed to make a sandwich spread or a wrap spread that's easy to eat & tastes good. Just have to make sure I do all the preparing of the food....that's the hardest thing when I'm feeling stressed...don't have the energy to do much other than put something in the microwave. Oh yes, got some fresh corn on the cob to microwave & then put the cilantro sauce & cotija cheese sprinkled over it.....that is usually a lunch. Bought fresh strawberries because my strawberry plants aren't producing......I mix it with a strawberry rhubarb sauce & it's tasts wonderful for a dessert. Now, just need to get enough sleep so that I have the energy & the will power to prepare all the delicious foods that I bought....none are high in calorie....but then I don't eat enough at one time to make anything fattening anyway. Spent too much time putting together a demand for information email letter to stbxh in exchange for the quit claim he needs for them to process the loan modification. When I end up focusing on things like that....don't eat or sleep until I get it finished.....very unhealthy but I get so fucused, it makes it difficult to do anything else......now it's finished....I can get on with life.....have appointment with my lawyer on friday to start the divorce proceedings finally....looking forward to getting that over with also.....too many years of hell & that was part of my first anorexia that ended up in hospitalization after hospitalization & treatment that didn't help.....because the problem behind the anorexia wasn't resolved. Maybe now my whole life will be able to settle down to some sort of normal finally. Most of my stresses always came from my marriage except for the home care trauma when my mother was dying of cancer....nothing much left in my life any longer after the divorce to cause stress any longer so that should be a good healthy thing for me.

Today, I tried a new thing where I eat whenever I'm hungry, but only a handful of whatever it is. It actually worked and I didn't feel very guilty about the calories O.o (I failed when I got home from school, of course, but until then it was good.)
I had: 1 Trix yogurt cup 1 cereal bar 1 can of V8 juice 1 bag of baked Cheetos 9 tater-tots 1 bag of goldfish some random candy things I got from this teacher about 5 bottles of water (the 32 oz bottle I carry) And then I b/ped once I got home on ice cream, a nutty bar, a doughnut, & 2 pieces of pizza. For supper, I had 1/2 a corn on the cob ear, a bite of "ham hocks" (???), 1 1/4 cornbread muffin, and about 1/8 cup of asparagus. After supper, I had a cake doughnut with milk, and was ashamed of myself. But I forced myself not to purge that and dinner with it. Now I'm afraid to tally up the calories vs. calories burned and see how terrible I did today. ![]() |
