Hi ,im really struggling with food right now ,I cant physically make myself eat and when I have to I eat and then go and make myself be sick, alots happened and is happening and its making me hate the way I look and also is messing with the way I feel too ,I am being bullied and that's making things worse.
When I am with my friends they say ,why don't you have something to eat and I say I don't want to and then they start making this joke about starving and making myself sick, they don't know whats going on and I don't think they would understand if I told them. I feel weak right now and all I want to do is just curl up in my bed and not move ,the only thing I have energy for is exercising and that's because I know its going to help me lose weight ! Well at least you have friends! Some of us have zero friends. Not sure they would be my friends if they mocked me like that.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |

Quote:
Exercising will help you lose weight, sure. But it won't necessarily help you out if you want to lose weight in a healthy way. Especially if you're not eating enough. ![]()

Yeah, your friends don't sound very sensitive. Have you mentioned you don't appreciate the comments? That's the first thing I would do.
I'm sorry you're having these problems. It's not easy to deal with this stuff. Also, Christina mentioned a good point. You cannot be exercising healthily if your body is not getting enough nutrients. It will feed off the fat in your body, sure, but not for long. It will start feeding off the muscles in your body, which is often what causes the more serious side effects in people with EDs, some of which can be permanent. Your heart is a muscle, think of it that way. I'm not trying to scare you or give you **** or treat you like a baby. But it sounds like you may need some medical intervention. Do you want to stop? Or are you still ambivalent about it? Do you want to recover or just lose weight? Two very different things...
