I purged yesterday. I'm so fed up with the weight I've gained from trying to quit smoking. I still haven't quit smoking all the way-although I have cut down a lot- but I'm still FAT.
I've changed my diet and I'm eating healthy food and I don't eat after 7 pm but I had to stop exercising because I injured my knee while doing aerobics. I think my knee is better enough to start exercising again so I'm going to start a routine up again soon. Anyway, today is the second time I've purged. I don't think I'm bulimic, it's just that I'm worried about why it's so hard for me to lose weight and quit smoking at the same time. It's like I have a choice-quit smoking and become really FAT or Lose weight and start smoking again and then die of lung cancer. Hmmm. |

Jax.. Are you in therapy for any other reasons? Purging will ruine your body, self esteem, and relationships. The fact that your willing to do it still.. means there something else that you might be using it for.. ie. reducing anxiety, punishing, dealing with feeligns of shame. All those things need to be addressed in therapy. Hope you find a good t to work with you before things become bad.

Hey jax,
I just signed up this morning and i noticed your post first becuz i purged 3 times yesterday. It is a really awful thing. However if i can offer anything that helped me before mine came back is that i prayed alot to have this terrible eating problem removed as well as found some eating disorder groups locally. It felt under control and i had from time to time slips. but for the most part you have to keep sanity and there is no way getting around food cuz we need to eat right? So i guess i am saying if you want to talk i will listen. I am nervous cuz i am starting up again and have no one to talk to until i find a meeting. Hope your well ps you are not fat! and chat back if u want. ![]() |
