Hi there,
So I was never diagnosed with an ED.
I was starving myself for a few months.
Was obsessed with thinspiration, etc.
Most of the signs.. but got into counseling before I became underweight.

QUESTION:
This may just be me.
but does anyone else have that one person that makes you like obsess over it again?
Kinda like thinspiration but directed towards one person.
There's this famous person I was always a huge fan of.
I'd specifically search thin photos of her.
This week, I dunno what it was but something about her came back up.
So i started watching old music videos of her and searching photos again.
And It's got me back counting calories for some reason.

Anyone else ever had like one specific person that is a trigger?

Not one specific person......but when there are other thin people around me that I feel are thinner than I am.....it triggers me to want to get as thin as they are....when I'm compaired to another thin person & they are more thin....it makes me want to loose to more or at least get back down to the low weight I have been in the past even though I know it's NOT healthy.......think if they can be thin & healthy....I should be able to be also.

Hi mysterygirl. My ed has nver been motivated by actresses or models, or by comparison to others. But i do not imagine this detracts from the validity of your experience.
Do you know why you are so drawn to this particular person? Maybe there are other admirable qualities she has, other than her appearance, that you might emulate.

Thanks for the kindness!
Well you see she's a singer/actress and I sing and act (only in small films) as well. And I just.. Always wanted to be like her. The way she sings, etc. What happened was... I wanted to be as small as her.. and I would read these magazines about how much she worked out and all that. And then I found out she had an ED and I felt like there was no way for me to be that small unless I did the same things she did.

I do understand how you might want to copy EVERYthing you can from this great person you admire. Have you given thought though, to whether a degree of smallness has been relevant to her success? Do you suppose that talent and hard work has been more important?
I know its not that simple. I do understand that you may know something intellectually without being able to feel it emotionally. But i still think its important to stop and think and remind yourself.
