Hey! I wanted to give you guys an update on how my appointment went.

I didn't really want to go, so I was very quiet and short with her. She didn't say much either. I was really honest about the last time I had eaten. She asked if we could try to work towards eating at least 3 times a day. I said no. Then she asked about 2 times a day. I said no. Then she asked about 1 time a day. I said nothing a shrugged my shoulders. She kind of sighed and said okay, and reminded me that eating was important and that I needed to try at eat at least something small every day.

I also had a meeting with my t today. We talked about the visit, and I was way more open with her than what I was with my nutritionist. She told me that she isn't going to rehash what she has already told me... I know what I need to do, and what I don't need to do. She told me her reasoning for not weighing me or making me show her my food journal too, which makes me feel a but more at ease with her. She did say that as far as admission for an ed clinic, she would use her gut instinct (which so far hasn't been wrong about me yet). So I'm kind of up in the air about that, but I'm kind of ignoring that possibility right now. I have too many other things to be worrying about.

Thanks everyone for the support in my ed journey this far. Yall have been amazing support that my friends at church and school haven't really been able to give me.

Maybe as you get to know the nutritionist better you will feel more comfortable talking to her. I'm sure the first visit must be hard.

I'm glad you have a good therapist, too. That always helps. I wish you luck with your struggle.

Was she asking you to eat 3 MEALS a day...or just pop something into your mouth 3x a day???? I think the habit is what you want to reform... so setting a timer and taking in something 3-5x a day (a breath mint or bite of carrot???) will help you.

Can you drink nutritional drinks okay? Do you drink enough water?

Please be easy with yourself, but healing is very hard work, and you will have to do it one way or another...sooner or later... try harder now and do it yourself...then you can feel good about it too!

So proud of you to see the nutritionist!

I found that they have so many really neat resources and ideas...I bet she has something you can manage to begin with... keeping trying.
