We don't generally get questions about food here, but I'm sorry you're feeling shame about eating. I don't know anything about caloric intake, so can't judge whether the problem is with the calories themselves, or with your perceptions. There's a habits section & a section on eating disorders (I think). Perhaps you can get more information there. This section usually deals with substance abuse issues. I hope you can find some relief from your feelings of shame.

How much over the 300 hundred calories did you go? I think it’s pretty easy to eat 300 calories. Perhaps try to get involved in a task or activity at night as a distraction.
