I was just wondering how anyone else is juggling an eating disorder and dating. Do you think your "symptoms" are worse when you are single, or do you find it worse when you are dating/seeing someone. Also, do you tell your new partner, or let them figure it out? I'm just having a hard time with this whole scenerio. Thanks for your input...
Does having a partner help or hurt?

With any psychological disorder, I'd say if you are thinking of getting serious with this person, you should tell them I'm not talking on the first date... "hey, btw I have an eating disorder... how bout you?"... not a great idea. Still, if you guys move on from a date to a relationship I would definitly tell them, but tell them also what you are doing about it. It may be a shock at first and they may need to process the info, but if they are serious about you they'll probably want to learn more. If you wait to let them figure it out I think that this person would be hurt, thinking you didn't trust them with this info. And anyway, if they would leave you because you tell them you have an ED then they will DEFINITLY leave you if they find out on their own. Best of luck!
