Interesting question... it really is...

My best friends observation.. from watching me.. she said that I was able to push my body to beyond the normal.. like supernatural - like supreme adrenal ..... then I "burned" out ,,, and then the cycle would start again..

her therory was that it is triggered by a need in my life each time.. maybe i wasn't even aware of what the need was.. and my body responded.. like a project due.. or my son needing something, or some social function so my body went into the "burst of energy" gear for a time..

Only.. unfortuately... my body permenatly "burned" out.. so I don't get that rush of energy.. the burst..

I don't know.. in my life... what she observed made sense...

yes... that is true.... for me it isn't during eating... or gaining weight..

it is about survial.. I go into this great survial mode... where I pull out all the stops.. and don't quit.. at periods of time... never know what triggers the burst of energy... could be a memory coming back.. or a need in my family.. or trying to escape a memory...or a need in my job at the time..

But it is a most definitely... a burst... of extreme energy..

I have also experienced complusive exercising so that I don't gain weight during eating more... then the muscles in my body get "torn down" rather than built up..

all of it is destructive.. and hurtful ... and makes you want to give up... and did I mention.. very discouraged..
