I have been receiving treatment for anorexia since Oct 2006. My treatment is due to end in 2 months and i don't feel ready tocope on my own, as they weighed me today and I have lost 4 pounds (probably with all the worrying)

How do u look after yourself after you lose the support

I am scared?

Can you talk iwth your team about gradually brining down your support levels so its not a shock. Maybe you couuld do extensive outpatient with day treatments, then plan what your support groups and when they meet will be, try to have two sessions a week with a therapist. I think if you plan in advance, maybe you anxiety around it will lessen in advance. You will be prepared and successful.

I agree. You should look into outpatient treatments.
If you want to chat, just PM me.

Hi

I was never an inpatient- been treated as an outpatient and have an appointment every fortnight.
I just feel like she (the therapist) has opened up all these feelings in me, and made me analyse things more, and then I am just going to be left to deal with it all by myself!

The desire to lose weight has come back as it is the only thing I know I can do well Help Me
I have just ordered the self help book - 'Its not about losing weight', apparently it is helpful according to some ppl who have talked about it on here. I just don't want to undo the progress I have made so far. Its a constant battle

So, will the support just stop regardless of whether I am ok? I didn't realise there was a time limit on getting better.

I just feel alone right now

You're not alone hun. I know it feels that way, but lots of us are in the exact same position. I tried to PM you but it wouldn't let me...?
Maybe you could ask to be put on the waiting list for another psych to see on the side?
