Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else does the P90X or Supreme 90 Day workouts? They are essentially the same - 90 day bootcamp program with muscle confusion for ultimate results. The biggest difference is price - P90X is about $130 more expensive than Supreme 90 Day.

I just completed 90 days of Supreme 90 Day and am happy with the results, but wanted to change things up for the next round. So for the next 90 days, I will be doing half Supreme 90 Day and half P90X (I borrowed my dad's P90X DVDs...I can't afford the $150 to buy my own!) I will be working out 6 times a week, doing 3 Supreme 90 Day DVDs and 3 P90X DVDs each week. I'm excited to change things up!

For those who are skeptical - both programs do indeed work. Would love to hear from others who have had positive experiences with either of these programs.
Thanks for this!

I've never tried either of those, mostly because of the price, but I am a fan of high intensity work outs.

Have you ever tryed the Insanity Workout with Sean T? It's similar to P90X, but you don't need any weights or anything. It's based on high intensity cardio with short recovery periods. It is one of the hardest workouts I have done, but worth it!!
Thanks for this!

Make your own, free, program?

I was reading that the P90X's secret is the really restricted diet they put you on and that the program takes a whole lot of time; an hour of exercise and 90 minutes of yoga, etc. each day.

Hello Perna,

I am not following the diet that P90X has. My food plan is based on Tosca Reno's Clean Eating Diet...but I am a little less restrictive. I don't even like calling it a diet, because it's not. It's a lifetime way of eating, healthy things as close to nature as possible. (ie, fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans, lean meats, healthy fats, water) I am happy with the food I eat, and it makes me feel great.

As for P90X, yes it is extreme. That's the point though. The results that the program gives are amazing, if the work is done and a healthy food plan is involved. This program is not for the faint of heart, or someone who is really out of shape.

Most workouts are an hour total, some days include the additional Ab Ripper X workout (an extra 15 minutes). Yes, the Yoga workout is 90 minutes total. But as I said, this is an extreme workout. It probably isn't for those who don't have the time to devote to it, but I personally think that people have more spare time than they think. A lot of spare time is spent watching television, on the computer, etc. My personal opinion is that if people LOOK for the time, they will find the time to exercise.

I do half P90X and half Supreme 90 Day for the variety, but also because Supreme 90 Day workouts are quite a bit shorter (generally, around 20-30 minutes total).

It's all about personal preference, but I don't think anyone can argue how effective these programs can be, if the work is done.
Thanks for this!
