Anybody here do yoga? I'm starting a routine with it tomorrow. I'm not flexible at all so it may take me some time to really get the poses down.

The Skeezyks has done some light yoga at different times over the years. However, at this point, he spends large enough amounts of time walking that he does not wish to commit additional time to yoga. The Skeezyks has long-standing low back problems. Walking has proved more beneficial than anything else he has done.

Is it normal for someone really out of shape to find yoga poses difficult? Even the beginners ones?

I need to know how to build up my strength.

If anyone has any suggestions for a daily routine for someone like me that would be very helpful

I think that just by continuing to do yoga on a regular basis it will help build up your strengh; thats part of what yoga is for.

I'm not flexible at all, so I like hot yoga. The heat definitely helps.

And yeah, it's not unusual to have trouble with the poses when you're just starting out. But like Starry Night said, if you just keep doing it, you'll build up strength.
