I didn't notice a thread of this sort here. I know on an old WW forum, they had one. I found meal planning to be crucial for my dieting success. It helps me say "No" to extras a little easier than without a plan. Obviously, I sometimes eat something different, more than I should have, or even less than I planned. Mentioning those changes a little while later is important for me. Also, writing a few sentences or paragraphs about why/how I might have deviated is helpful.
I, personally, think tracking something is important. Calories, fat grams, carb grams, protein grams, or points. Whatever. Anyone who wishes to participate may consider adding up one or all of these things, but it's not mandatory. Sometimes just seeing the list of things helps. I did not meal plan today, but I'm going to try to do so tomorrow and track nutrition info. I plan to use MyFitnessPal, but I know other tools are helpful. OK, I'm going to be honest in the post below. |
