I can never meal plan and stick to it.
Breakfast is normally just some pretzels or belvita type things. Maybe a protein shake
But basically I just graze on lunch meat, pretzels, and gunmy candv with some variety like rice and cheese. I don't eat much for dinner.

I do try to work out everyday. Or get some movement in.

But my diet is just bad.

Lol the song Cardiac Arrest is randomly playing.

I tend to buy things for a specific recipe and because I live alone and have weird food preferences when I make it I tend to have like 6 meals worth and will eat that 2x a day with something else as a third eat-time usually for some variety so it doesn't go bad.

So I might buy a package of veggie beef substitute or chicken, beans, diced tomatoes, peppers, corn, onions, etc. and use other spices to make chili, but this usually ends up with me eating chili twice a day for a week. I could create less I guess and save like half the can of beans/tomatoes/package of veggie meat or the chicken, but then I'd have to figure something else that uses those AND cook that before they go bad too now that I've opened them anyway.

Most recent thing I did that with was a yogurt combo with greek vanilla yogurt, rolled oats, cherries, and a little bit of jell-o cheesecake mix, (I think I even added a little bit of vanilla instant breakfast too) but all those came in resealable containers (except the cheesecake mix which I ended up saving the rest in a plastic bag, that's not really going to go sour and stink up the place in 3 days) so I ended up only making four servings so that's what I've had the past two days (well, not today today, it's 4:30am and I haven't eaten, but today I'm going to make salmon and mango chili salad so I'll probably have at least 4 meals of that made by 1pm that will be lunch/dinner and at least one of tomorrow's meals.)

So I kinda just think of a recipe like that and eat a lot and move on to the next. The vegetarian chili is probably a favorite though, but I don't have the kitchen/fridge/freezer space in my studio with like two feet of counter space, two cabinets that can't fit anything larger than the smallest bottle of vinegar on the shelves, half a stove, no oven, and a mini compact fridge/freezer to really make it the way I want now.

It varies from day to day. I mostly eat quite a lot of fruit and veg, not so much meat, and often veggie protein like chickpeas and lentils. I cook a lot so most of what I eat is home cooked, I prefer to know what goes in it plus I enjoy experimenting with different flavours and recipe tweaks. These days there’s some great videos online with tv chefs showing different techniques, that makes it easier.

I don’t meal plan specifically although I did have a meal planner on my fridge, I change my mind too often for that. I do have favourite meals which I make most weeks, that makes life easier as I don’t have to think about shopping for ingredients it’s just part of my regular grocery list. I find sticking to a list is helpful in avoiding impulse buys.

I agree with @Discombobulated. It's always best to home cook meals. Even so-called "healthy" foods that are frozen, pre-made as snacks often contain high sodium and other empty calories (not much in the way of nutrition). Though for breakfast I often eat cottage cheese with diced peaches in cups along with wheat toast & some butter or jam on the toast (I'm not always perfect). My lunch is usually a turkey & cheese sandwich on wheat or 12 grain bread with fresh fruit (grapes, pear, peaches, plums, apple, orange, whatever is in season, melon right now too). Sometimes for lunch, I cook a yam in in the microwave then eat it with butter & brown sugar. For dinner, I haven't eaten anything not home cooked in probably 6 months since Valentine's Day. I often cook chicken fajitas with chicken breast sauteed in olive oil, fajita seasoning, then separately sliced onion, red bell pepper green bell pepper in olive oil, wheat tortillas. I make a few versions of a turkey southwest Mexican soup that vary slightly. Have H grill shrimp and make corn on the cob in the microwave add a salad to that. We always have fruit for dessert with dinner. I make wheat spaghetti tossed in olive olive with halved tomato grapes, spinach, and a bit of feta cheese. I make a dish with chicken breasts topped with 2 handfuls of spinach, chopped canned artichoke hearts, chopped red peppers in olive oil, topped with mozzarella and baked, it's very delicious. Snack a lot Greek yogurt, cheese, green olives (I lose a lot of salt thru sweat walking), fresh fruit (love apples with peanut butter), nuts (unsalted), veg with hummus (celery, grape tomatoes, baby carrots or carrot sticks, cucumber). I snack on spinach too because I love it!

I'm trying to figure out the ingredients for turkey chili. I have a recipe I just need to get mysef situated. I did get a few Greek yogurts and a bag of salad. I also have a bag of rissoto I was going to make and add a can of diced tomatos to it.

I have a lot of healthy stuff already. I just need to eat it. I did choose pumpkin seeds over cheddar pretzel bites for a snack this morning.

Ooh I don’t think I’ve ever tried chili with turkey. I’m not a huge beef chili person (but I do like the pea soup flavor of vegetarian beef substitutes) and have only tried beef, veggie beef, venison (also better than beef but harder to cook well and harder to get a hold of), and chicken.

You got me wondering if a fish chili would be good now…

I have this little sandwhich griddle that makes good grilled cheeses and this other small griddle you make single eggs or single pancakes on. I'll have to find them in the garage

I might see if I can find a small rice cooker so I can eat legit rice and not Bens Original flavored stuff.

I get Thai seasoned salmon from Aldi and they do Sweet Chilli too (also Korean barbecue). It works really well.

I got the last rice cooker. And I found my sandwhich and griddle and I got some bread and colby jack and gouda cheese. I've never had gouda grilled cheese but I thought I'd try them.
