Ok, I'm really not trying to be mean but I found this site and couldn't stop laughing. http://www.netaddiction.com/

Is having online support for net addiction such a good idea? It would be like sitting at the bar during an AA meeting.

Anyway, I couldn't resist sharing it (cause I'm a jerk).

I think it could work. Presumably it's better to be in a support group on the Web than having cyber sex, gaming, or just randomly wasting time? I'd rather get my fix here at PC than act out in other ways?

Agreed Ray. I mean, of course there's online support for internet addiction. It's just very ironic at first glance.

Actually, the "support" is information, downloadable stuff and newsletter. The "group" supporting is a group of therapists in Pennsylvania, a real therapy center I think.

Yeah but right or wrong, it's clear that this is a resource for people struggling every bit as much as we are and so now it's not funny.

Ah well.

made me giggle too.

and reminded me of a very obviously bad AA meeting my cousin attended as a teen. I guess the leader or whatever brought in a quart of rum and gave the option of either giving my cousin the quart of rum or having him stay at the meeting.

Of course he chose the quart of rum and left to get drunk.

Now who comes up with an idea like that and thinks its going to work??

Actually a good, healthy laugh can be gotten by looking at this universal cure for phobias, ALL phobias (click on upper right corner). I love charlatans! :-)
